I'm shelling out to an .asp (or htm) page from an application. I want
to show this in a window without the address bar, etc...
Is there a way I can redirect this page using javascript to a page
where I can set the window height, statusbar=no, etc?
Thanks,

I am trying to open a frameset in a new window......where the frame
called "main" shows the file called customerGeneral.aspx. I can't get
it to work though...i always get something like frames.main.location
is null....seems like the frameset is not loaded before
wnd.frames.location.replace(URL) is called. If i add an
alert("TEST") between the window open and the frame
replacement....then it works. The alert("TEST") seems to ensure that...

We have an application that contains links that run javascripts to
create pages in a separate frame. When these links open an external
site, it causes the javascripts to no longer function. When we
modified the links that invoke the javascripts from:
<a href=javascript: top.doSomething> text </a>
To:
<span onclick=javascript:top.doSomething> text </span>
The javascripts worked properly. Any ideas on why this now works or
other...

Hi guys
The following code works just fine in Netscape on MacOS and Windows. But in
Explorer on MacOS and Windows it throws a type mismatch error at the point
marked with the comment ³// bug out at this point². (The functions that are
called, but not listed here work fine in both Netscape and Explorer in this
and other contexts, so I can confidently discount them as the source of any
error.)
I have also tried just a plain and simple...

please keep the flaming to a minimum (a bucket of water is next to me)
but I have a question someone here might be able to explain in basic
terms for a dunce like me.
I helped a friend put together a website that uses his domain name and
url directs to my server. It has a (sorry) flash intro page that
continues to his main page. When I click on a navigation button, the
address reverts back to my webpage address. Without using shitty frames...

The above code only submit form to url_of_server1. The second submit is

I have a win2003 server workstation with multiple webs, each web has it's
own ip address. In VS2005, if I select to open an existing web site, select

if I attempt to open a site under and web other than localhost I receive the
message:
"Unable to open the Web 'http://localhost/anywebappname'. The Web

Hi,
I am trying to pop-up a window when the user clicks on an image. The
problem is that when the user clicks on the image and the window pops
up OK, but the window underneath also proceeds to the image. The
desired behavior is that when the pop-up is invoked, I want the
underlying window to stay put.
I don't have this problem when I run the code on my local computer but
I do have it when I run the code on geocities.

Back in the good old days (or bad old days depending on your point of view)
when I used frames to develop some of my web sites, I was able to designate
which frame I wanted a page to open in. Now that I'm learning ASP.NET 2.0,
I'm having some trouble figuring out how to do something similar.
My web site has a master page with one contentplaceholder. Ordinarily, I
would develop another page within the same site using the master page as a...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
