In the result of a SELECT statement, how can you change cell values
from NULL to BLANK?
The following does NOT do it:
SET fieldname = ' '
WHERE fieldname IS NULL
Also, for colums with a DATE data type, I want to change 0000-00-00 to
BLANK.

I want to depending on a parameter in the XML change wether the div should
display or not. Do I have to repeat the whole block in two if containers
with the style display:none and one with display:block but then whenever I
have to make a change to the block I have to update in two places? Any help

This has got to be obvious, but I can't make it work.
I have a form called with 3 pull down menus. They are linked to a database
which generates the values for the <SELECT? Pull-downs.
Lets say I have values selected for all three pull down menus.
When I change the first "top-level" menu I want to reset both the second and
third menus to the "default" state.

I want to warn the user that changing the selected item in a pull-down
will clear some data he has already entered in a file download box.
I've tried using confirm() to return true or false with a line such as:
onchange="return(confirm('proceed Yes or No')))"
but it always stops the change.

I have 3 radio buttons for include, exclued or 'select all' from the listbox
items. If a user selects the 'Select All' button' then all items in listbox
is hi-lited as selected. Now, when user selects one item out of the 'all
selected' listing then there is now only one item selected. How and where
can I put in some code to change the selected radio button to the 'include'
since it is no longer in select all mode.

I would like to have an element, a text string, change into a select
when a mouseover occurs and then change back to text when a selection is
made or when a mouse out occurs. I looked a t using dojo for this,
http://dojotoolkit.org, but this will end up on a production server,
where dojo is not installed and cannot be installed. So, I need another
solution. Can someone give some pointers on how this might be done?
