I haven't checked the code, but the problem you're having is caused by Javascript. You have something in your code that is reducing the div in size. The div acts as you want when javascript is disabled. Look to your javascript to fix the problem.

i think that the problem is you have position value changing so make position value absolute

I have a site that works fine for days, then suddenly, I start getting ASP 0115 errors with an indication that session variables IN SEPARATE SESSIONS have disappeared! First, for background information, I have a customized 500-100 page that sends the value of various session variables via email to my support site. The situation: On the home page of the site, the FIRST THING that is done is a Session

My web page has one unordered list that disappears in Firefox. The unordered list in question has the class="dir". I double-checked the source code and verified the markup's semantics. Everything looked fine. So I placed the code in the W3C validator and it passed with no errors. Then I placed a regular unordered list with no class before the previous unordered list. Upon a reload, the new unordered list did not render, yet the unordered...

I built a form to access a query with a 2 field primary key. It should use 2 controls to find the unique record and display the other field values on the form. In the criteria section of the query, I set the 2 primary key values equal to the 2 control values on my form. When I input a value to these 2 controls the query finds the correct record, so I know my query with the criteria works. My problem is trying to get the output values...

Here is my scenario: I have a few custom controls that I set up on a form and tested setting properties and appearances. Then I added a couple references to the project which add classes I need to get data from the server to actually do something useful. (These are generated by 3rd party database software.) After adding those references, and no other changes to my form.... all the controls disappear from the visual interface on the...

I have read many threads which indicate that this was a problem with version 2002. Why should i be suffering this? I am using VB.NET 2003 Standard Edition... is it still a problem with 2003? I have used the wizards to generate the connection and adapter, which generates the code in 'InitializeComponent', and i have stored the connection string within web.config and it seems to get rid of this

While I was learning about baking cookies in ASP.NET, I also ran across this interesting article that outlined a few bombs to watch out for when using cookies in ASP.NET: http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/aspnetcookies.asp The "disappearing cookie" syndrome that the author describes seems problematic: <quote> If you try to access a cookie that doesn't exist in the

I've come across a strange problem I can't seem to solve. Every now and then the scrollbars in IE for http://www.websaid.be/ disappear. Most of the time the problem can be reproduced by following a link on the page and then returning to the home page by clicking on the arrows in the top left corner: suddenly the vertical scrollbar disappears (although there is content outside the viewport) only to reappear when hovering over the menu at...

Hi, I'm presently converting a v1.1 ASP.NET app to v2, and am encountering a strange problem. When running in Debug mode (i.e. hitting F5), all is well. However, when running without debugging (i.e. hitting Ctrl-F5), every so often (it seems to be totally random) the entire Session seems to get torn down causing Session_Start to fire again, thereby losing any Session

Like many people, I normally use Yahoo! Mail via the web and like to keep all my emails stored on the Yahoo! server. However sometimes I can’t get access to a PC/the web and I download my emails to a PDA/palmtop via POP3. The PDA uses Windows Mobile software. Since using the PDA, I have had the problem of emails disappearing from the Yahoo! server. However I think I now understand how to avoid this. It seems that Windows Mobile is...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
