I'm trying to determine where inside an XHTML's DOM a javascript function
is triggered, but when I use the construction of calling a function with
"this" as parameter and then checking the event target inside the
javascript function, I get very very little love from javascript in an
XHTML setting.... I have put up the file that demonstrates my problem at:

(the jscript bit is...

Hi
What's wrong with this line:
document.write('<input style="width: 260px;" type="button"
id="button2" onmouseover="mover(\'button2\',\'green\');"
onmouseout="mover(\'button2\',color2);" value ='+txt6+'
onClick="SetCookie(\'modem\');this.value=txt7";>')
txt6 is 4 words long, but only the first word in the string will show.

I wrote the following code as part of a page where users can reorder a
list of items by highlighting an item in a list box and clicking an
"up" or "down" button to move the items around. The code below is for
the up and down buttons along with a reset button (which reloads the
list as it was originally) and a change button which applies the
changes. In Explorer and Safari for Mac, this code works flawlessly.
When I tested on Explorer in...

This problem is driving me nuts. The code at the end of this post
below works fine with IE, but fails with Mozilla. You can see it
in action at
http://tinyurl.com/2jvo3
With Mozilla 1.4 and 1.6, the function msg works fine if it's
installed as an onclick handler for the button, but fails as an
onload handler for the page. The error is "console has no properties",
and is triggered by the line.

In reference to the following:
http://www.bellecose.com/form.htm
At the top of each column there is a box for "All".
When one is checked I need to check all of (and only) those boxes
underneath.
Now, the rub here is that every checkbox on the page (except the "All"s)

Hello, all, and TIA for any help you can offer. I've searched the
Internet for answers and have finally come here.
I've created a page (several, actually) with a link that opens a pop-up
window. It's a pop-up window in the sense that it's smaller than the
man page and is intended to be viewed and then closed.
The problem is that if I include a link on that pop-up window HTML
page, when the link is clicked the new page opens IN the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
