Script to allow user to select style sheet?

Dear web writers,

My lucky web visitors who are using certain browsers can select one of
my style sheets out of a list, and see how my pages change "before
their very eyes." Cool! But what if they're using one of those browsers
that doesn't allow the user to select from a list of author's style
sheets? Is there a script I can write to create an object on the page
itself that allows users to see the magic of CSS in action? I know
there is one, because I can think of sites I've seen that have it... I
just don't know what it is. Can anyone help me with that?

Thanks,

Daniel

Maybe for you, but does it serve a useful purpose for a user?

If as is usually the case the stylesheet switching serves no useful
purpose for a user, you should at least have the decency not to throw an
in-document UI widget in people's faces. Surely you can use a browser
that does have a native alternate stylesheet switching UI to have your
"Look Ma, I can change stylesheets" experience?

If you are really determined to go down this route then Googling for
"alternate stylesheet switcher" should throw up a number of hits.

You can do it with javascript, php etc. Plenty of good ones. I would
check www.alistapart.com for a tutorial on it. The advantages are
numerous ranging from accessibility to simple fun. Common practice is
to use a style switcher so people can push an icon on your page and
adjust font size etc, another is to make a high contrast style sheet it
goes on and on.

I know how to change attributes of a given element using Javascript, but can you change an attribute for a CSS class with script? Or for a particular kind of tag? For example, can you write a single script statement that will apply a given padding to all elements of a given class, or put a border around all the LIs on a page? -- Harlan Messinger Remove the first dot from my e-mail address. Hi, I have a datagrid with several columns and a single column containing a checkbox. The grid has some client-side javascript and style sheet that allows rollover change of row color. I would like to add client-side script that would allow the user to click on a row to check the checkbox and change the color of that row with performing a trip back to my web server.

My site is very small, and plain - it will mostly be text (for now). I have used a good mix of css in the design. With usability in mind I would like to add some specific functionality (with the vision impaired in mind). I would like to allow the user/reader of the web site the ability to select another font size, say from a drop downbox. This would increase the size of any text between paragraph tags, or in table data tags. This...

This script is meant to limit access by sessions, using username and password from mysql db and redirect users after login according to a given value belonging to each user in the db (10,20,30,40). (the included config is just server settings, the login is just a login form). The script appear to connect but will not redirect users, it seems that even with correct login details, it won't validate.

Hi there, I've got a website with a list of Frequently Asked Questions, so there's a question and answer in a long list down the page. Can anyone recommend a simple script that would allow me to hide each answer when the page loaded, but then made them individually appear/disappear when clicking the question? Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
