We're designing a web app in which some operations will take a long time
to complete (maybe two minutes). Because it's a high-volume application,
we don't want browser connections hanging open for these two-minute
intervals; that would cause a huge resource drain on the server (open
threads, etc.).
We've implemented a page which has a <meta refresh> tag in it of 15
seconds, so that the browser can "check back" with the server every so...

Is there any way to make the background of an iFrame (object) transparent?
The iFrame is in a 'floating' DIV and I want the underlying HTML page to
show through as a background.
Thanks,

Dear Experts!
I'd be grateful if you can help me with this.
I'm having an inline frame which points to 'www.externalsite.com'. The
page which contains the inline frame has an orange background, the
pages at 'www.externalsite.com' have a white background.
Can I change the background of 'www.externalsite.com' to mach the
background of the inline frame page upon loading?

Hi All,
The old topic: Session variables desappear.
I cannot understand it! And it's driving me crazy!!
So most of my aspx pages works just fine, but only 2 pages decide that
after they are sent to the client, they clear all the session
variables.
I even wrote a log file to see before page_load and after page_load,
the count of session.keys is 11, and even ajaxed a request from these

hi guys,
I am trying to make some iframes fit into a div with variable width. The iframe must have a margin, and using a padding in the parent div element is not an option.
Unfortunately, the width:auto for iframe gives a preset width, and does not behave like for the div elements.
As a result, the iframe always seem to resize its container.
See the testcases below :

Have an issue with an iframe in FF blocking links in a z-index layer behind the layer containing the iframe. It works in IE. I can't change the layer index of the iframe because it's content needs to be on top all the time. Whenever the user mouseovers that iframe content it should expand to full size.
I haven't figured out how to change the height of the ifrmae from Doc2. It should be something like...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
