Can somoene give me an example of how to center a div, according to it's
image size... I am using different images, and so I have to resize it in a
functino according to the image's size. So I use a h and w vairable that
give me the height and width of the current image, but I can't seem to come
up with a simple freaking formula to center the image vertically and
horozontally. Thanks guys.
fnFullView = function () {
var h

Hi,
I'd like to align a <div> within the center of the visual canvas. The text
within the div should be left-aligned. How can I possibly achieve this? So
far I can only align text blocks centrally by using <table align="center"
.... .
Is this also possible for vertical alignment?
TIA,
Axel Dahmen

Not sure if this has been covered ( a google search came up pretty
bare).
I have a site that:
- has multi-level cascading menus
- floats center of the browser window
- Will have fairly heavy Safari and Firefox views (~25%)
Finding a cascading menu is easy, I trip over about half a dozen of
those a week. The problem is when you maximize on a big screen in

Hi to All,
I am new to html authoring, so sorry if my terminology is not correct or
exact.
I would like to position a footer div to the bottom of the browser window.
As I research in the web shows this could be done a containing element with
"min-height: 100%;" and an absolute positioned element (div) inside, aligned
to bottom ("position: absolute; bottom:0px")

Hello,
I'm new to asp.net, previously I've been programming in VB6.
I'm looking for the functionality of a "scrollable viewport".
Can this be done with the standard controls in asp.net?
Or are there any (free) custom controls available for this?
Tx in advance
Carl

I've searched Google and the group archives, and came up empty, but
maybe I just haven't selected the right search term.
This concerns only the screen -- printing isn't an issue. I'm also
not concerned about the appearance of the page in IE6 as long as the
page is still usable.
I want to have two pseudo-frames, using only CSS and no JS. The top
"frame", 4em high, is a menu, and I want it to stay at the top of the
viewport. The rest...

I have a logical drawing space much bigger than the viewport (the
screen) and I'd like to center the viewport (the screen) to be at the
center of the logical drawing space. After following the excellent
transforms specified on Bob Powell's site, I still wonder if there's
an easier way of centering it than the following procedure?
Here is what I do now (it's awkward but it works):
1) I follow the transforms specified on Bob Powell's...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
