I am trying to open a frameset in a new window......where the frame
called "main" shows the file called customerGeneral.aspx. I can't get
it to work though...i always get something like frames.main.location
is null....seems like the frameset is not loaded before
wnd.frames.location.replace(URL) is called. If i add an
alert("TEST") between the window open and the frame
replacement....then it works. The alert("TEST") seems to ensure that...

How can one replace the URL in the address bar to a "friendly alternative"?
Is there a way to do this with JavaScript?
Is there a way to do this ASP.NET?
For example, suppose I have a site that has the URL...

Hey folks,
I have my entire ASP-driven site in a one-frame frameset to preserve a
static URL in a browser's address bar. I also have a customized 404 page to
redirect a visitor to the top, default frameset. The redirect works, but the
called, nonexistent URL remains in the browser's address bar. Is there any
way to refresh a browser's address in the address bar to that of the site's
default, frameset address? I tried using a...

I have a requirement to build the following:
1: A user logs onto the web application using a user name and password
(Done)
2: The user is presented with a web page that contains 3 frames (Done)
3: Based on some event that takes place within the system, I want to display
a specific page in one of the frames in the page that is displayed to the
user......This may happen a number of times while the user is logged into
the session.

I have an aspx page: Main.aspx which has several components that cause
a postback. In the page Main.aspx I also have an iframe which contains
a multi-page pdf file.
The problem I am facing is that whenever the user does an action which
causes a postback on the main page Main.aspx, the page posts back and
the pdf file in the iframe is reloaded. This is a problem becuase if
the user has rotated or magnified the page then that is lost.

Hello fellows,
I have a Web application using frameset and frames. When I click in a
hyperlink button I can send the selected aspx page using the "target"
attribute into the selected frame. However when the aspx page is called from
IE address bar the page is loaded into the entire browser and not into the
frame I would like to. I tried to use the target attribute of the attribute
form but it does not work.
I noticed that when the page...

Is there a way to display/render an ASP page inside of an ASPX page with ASP
..Net 2.0? I'm not trying to back into frames but I have an application that
will allow me to customize complex rendered reports by adding parms to the
query string of an ASP page and just calling the entire URL. This works great
for web parts in SharePoint and with a Windows application, but I'm not sure
how to do it with ASP .Net. In fact, I'm looking for the...

Hi,
I have a master page that contains a table layout. The contentplaceholder is
located in one of the table cells. With frames technology it was possible
for hyperlinks to load the linked pages into a frame without having to
reload any other frames.
Is it possible to replicate this kind of behaviour using master pages and
content pages? In other words, I want only the cell that contains the
contentplaceholder to refresh when the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
