sorry to ask here..

I lost my Netscape profile this afternoon, was using N client for both
e-mail and news.. (this happened after I dl'd FF and Mozilla, b/c I
needed to test some stuff on them (this was at work..) profile IS there,
I know where to look for it (am on W2000) this is not the 1st time this
happens to me w/Netscape... so: would like to find another e-mail/news
client.. I know there are lots of them out there, but I like to use same
client for both news and e-mail, and also like that in Netscape client
you can type phrase on top of window to search for articles (you can't
do that in Outlook for Windows..) so: anybody know of any freeware
clients out there that support POP, SMTP, AND NNTP connections? sorry
to ask here, couldn't think of a more appropriate spot.. thank you very
much.. Frances

You're right, this isn't the right ng for this kind of thing, but I'll
answer anyway.

I was a die-hard mozilla suite user for a long time (years!). I was
seriously dismayed when I heard mozilla was going to discontinue the
suite and concentrate on just separate browser and mail-news clients. I
didn't think it possible to convince me that separate apps could be a
good thing, at least for me.

Having said that, try the Firefox/Thunderbird combination. They work
very well together. You won't even notice they're separate apps. I just
wish transfering profile data from mozilla to FF/TB was less painful. My
sister needs to make the switch, too, and I don't relish rebuilding her
profiles. :(

There is Thunderbird, the mail/newsgroup client.
<http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/>
The Mozilla suite has a browser, mail/news, html editor, and IRC.
Both provide SMTP, POP3, IMAP, NNTP in mail/news.

Ummm...Mozilla? It's effectively Netscape (I assume you're talking about
version 6 or 7) without the crud (though NS is based on older versions
of Mozilla). Or, if you are only looking for a news/email program, not a
browser as well, try Mozilla Thunderbird.

Add another vote for Thunderbird. I love it.

I looked what this script does and it is the following: python -O /usr/lib/python2.3/compileall.py /usr/share/woody I looked where exactly in compileall.py the error occurs and it is here:

Hi all, Please bear with me as I've only started programming in C# 2 weeks ago and this is my first contact with OOP. I ran into a situation where I needed to catch an event in an object that had no connection or reference to the object that triggered it. It goes something like this: (not syntactically correct..it's just for the idea)

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
