Problem with expanding/collapsing menus and NE7

Hi,

I created an expanding menu on one of the frames in my
webpage using code I got from
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/navigate1.htm

I have embedded the code (with minor modification to point
to my links) into a frame on my webpage.

The problem is that when I open the page on netscape 7,
the exapnding menu does not expand the first time.
However, if I *reload* the page (by hitting the reload
button), then the expanding menu works.

This doesnt fail! The first time I load the page the
expanding menu doesnt work, if I reload it does...

I would appreciate any advice at all on how to fix this.

Thanks,
Bhiksha

Unfortunately, the only reasonable advice is to abandon that script. The
majority of script collections are worthless junk, and that includes what
I've seen of Dynamic Drive and The JavaScript Source.

The only reasonable menu scripts I've seen is the one used on the Netscape
DevEdge website, and the two recommended on that same site. Still, all
them need work as they involve browser detection to function properly[1],
or feature detection is not used.

The other two menu systems are linked in the Conclusion.

[1] No matter what anyone might say, browser detection is impossible to do
with any certainty.

http://digitalrat.co.uk/test/index.html I float a div left in body prior to a div with top margin set. I expected the float to rise to the top of body, but instead in Firefox & Opera its top won't go above the top border of the following div (In IE it does go right up). Is this correct behaviour? Unless I'm missing something, this appears to be a case of CSS

I have been approached over a page that has a horizontal menubar displaying over a banner. The problem advised that the menubar is not displayed and the banner moves up to the position the menubar would otherwise occupy. I don't see this in my version of Foxfire but I do see it in my Opera browser. A reduced demo is at http://www.boclair.com/margin-test/ I would think this is a collapsing margin problem. Declaring a nominal height...

Here collapsing seems to work differently in vb.net 2005 from that I use to see in vb.net 2003: Using the collapsing in vb.net 2003 shows the whole interface of the methods, subroutines, functions, etc, while in vb.net 2005 those parts after the name (arguments, etc) are missing. Is there an option to show them as well, or this is the only working method of the collapsing? What amazed me that the collapsing in the vC.net 2005 shows the...

Check out the site: www.progtalk.com. They have a great article to expand and collapse rows of a grid. The cool part it, that the expanding and collapsing happens using Javascript. I think the exact link is: http://www.progtalk.com/ViewArticle.aspx?ArticleID=1

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
