I want to have a list that is horizontal and each <li> has different
images. I also want them to change on hover. I want the words to be
below the images as well. Anyone of you styles gurus have any words
of wisdom? Please! :-)
Here is what I have so far.

Hello, I am renewing a website using CSS and I have some problems with
IE6.
Following this link:
http://www.ansv.it/templates/Template_Index_IT.dwt.asp
you may notice that the container area has 3 colums, 1 and 3 with
titles and the 2 with a big image.
Well, 1 and 3 are not perfectly at the top of their column while 2 is
even worst...with the image going down and down.
Opera and Firefox even showing different errors with the background...

I'm wrestling with CSS variations between Firefox and IE. I'm trying to
create rollover buttons in a menu frame. It is working perfectly in
Firefox but in IE only the first button is properly highlighted and
linked. The second button, has only a partial "hit area" at the top of
the image, although if you click the link, you can see the link border
is properly place around the image. The rest of the buttons have no
rolloever state or link...

Hi,
I am helping a musician friend of mine with his profile and I found a cool layout on Nas' MySpace page.
I changed some things and re-did the graphics and I basically popped my Image URLS where the ones were in Nas' profile code.
Something strange is happening tho. When I try to preview the layout, the entire profile is all covered up. My images show, but all the other elements have disappeared.
I am not sure where in the CSS I...

How can I get spans which look like buttons.
These buttons have a fixed height (24px), variable width, a thin (1px)
solid border and a background image. The back-ground image is a slice
24px high, 1px wide, repeated:
For instance a span <span class="ButtonLeft">:

Hello,
I'm trying to make a gif image out of a total of 5 (currently) images. One background image and 4 small icons.
This image also includes text of a specific font.
Here are my issues.
First... the background image is in color and looks correct. The icons that I merge onto the background image are in black and white. I'm not sure why this is happening. This happens on both my development environment and on my server.

HI all,
I have designed a site found at www.pickupnewspapers.co.uk/nottinghamshire/index.html but I cant get the footer to sit stil on the page. It is because of the javascript ticker, everytime the ticker types the footer jumps up and down. Also the ticker does not work in firefox but does in IE7 (cant test in any others as dont have a computer with it on) . I am quite amateur to html and no nothing about javascript. I am aware there are...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
