I have a JavaScript routine that runs on a timer and updates the position of a
background image using the CSS background-position property. In Internet
Explorer, it changes the mouse pointer to an hourglass when it refreshes the
screen, and this is really annoying since it happens on the timer, about every
100 milliseconds or so. Is there...

Hi All,
I have a bit of a weird problem.
The text I have on a webpage is only visible half on initial pageload.
When I move the mouse over the area where the text should be with the
right mouse button pressed, it apears again, same when I scrll down
the page and back up. When I than refresh the page, the text is gone
again.

I've come across a strange problem I can't seem to solve.
Every now and then the scrollbars in IE for http://www.websaid.be/
disappear. Most of the time the problem can be reproduced by following a
link on the page and then returning to the home page by clicking on the
arrows in the top left corner: suddenly the vertical scrollbar...

I have a site at http://www.radicore.org which has a menu bar down the left
hand side. When certain menu items are selected (What is Radicore? Products,
Documentation, Licensing, Legal) a sub-menu automatically appears. This
works fine in FF and Opera, but in IE as soon as the "Legal" option, or any
of its sub-menus, are selected, all the...

Hi all,
I have a very strange problem! In following Web page (which is
generated from a CMS System), the navigation to the left 'dissapears'
when you roll the mouse over the links? It does not do this in all
browsers either. I have found it to happen in IE 7 and the latest
patched IE 6. I have tried to find out the reason, but keep...

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I thought I saw it somewhere and I'd like to know how to do it.
This is rather difficult to explain, so bare with me.
Lets say you have 3 background colors, going from lightest to darkest (so color 1 would be the lightest and color 3 would be the darkest).
I'll try to illustrate what I mean. Let's...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
