Nice Menu - How can I do it?

I found an interesting "menu", I don't know how you call it. It displays a
link for 2 seconds, then it displays another link for 2
seconds, and so on. Here it is: http://www.alibaba.com under "Browse Trade
Leads".

I found that it doesn't work with major browsers (If you try it, please
use IE, as it works only on IE, sorry).
Do you know a CSS hack that does just that but is cross-browser?
Thanks,

How annoying. If one catches your eye and you don't click on it in
time how long do you have to wait for it to come round again?

Interesting. If I use Opera and ID as MSIE then it displays the whole
set as a static list. Much more usable.

It's JavaScript driven, there's nothing in CSS that could replicate
that. The JS could be altered to work (and probably work better) in a
wider range of browsers.

Hi there,

look at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/

there are many dhtml-scrollers for download.

Heres the one:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/crosstick.htm

This has as Steve said nothing to do with css.

Did you look at the site in question? This was not a drop down menu
(lots of other threads about them) and nothing special happened on
hover.

No! If you hover the mouse over the menu, it stops scrolling.

I agree, it's pretty bad made, and these guys think people only use IE.

Doesn't help much with the problem I described. If you can't get your
mouse over it before it scrolls away freezing the display of the next
item isn't going to get it back to the one you want any quicker...
