a.link:visited not working in FireFox

http://www.TheBicyclingGuitarist.net/css/index.css
I have red nav buttons that turn blue when hovered over and turn purple
after being visited. The red and blue work in FireFox, but not the visited
color. How can I fix this? It's always worked in MSIE cough cough.

It's for my index page http://www.TheBicyclingGuitarist.net/index.htm

Thank you Sally for replying. I have FireFox too and when I return to the
home page all the buttons are red. None of the visited links are purple in
FireFox on my machine. At least it works for other people, but why isn't it
working that way on my machine? Puzzling.

It "works" correctly here to...
(in Mozilla and Firefox as was the question).

Check your own browser config for use of color options on links, length
of saved history and eventual cache/history purge on application close,
for a start.

As well known I could specify the text color in the body tag like: <BODY TEXT=WHITE LINK=WHITE VLINK=RED ALINK=WHITE> What I want to achieve now is that always (!) the text of the last visited link and the text of the link under the cursor are red. All other links should be white. The problem with the construction above is that a visited link remains for the rest of the session red regardless wether it was visited 17 clicks back in...

Hi everyone. I'm working on a navigation menu (in a frameset) that I want to set the "active" link to black (the link that corresponds to the page displayed in the right side of the frame) to black. http://www.personal.psu.edu/axg251/wc In the original external style sheet, I set the a:link, a:visited, a:active, and a:hover. That works fine. In the navigation page, I call a function for onclick - it sets the

Hi everyone, Meyer on p. 91 of "Eric Meyer on CSS" says that link styles must be added in LVHA order (link, visited, hover, active) or link styles will stop working. Why is that? Is there an automatic inheritance from Link --> Visited --> Hover --> Active? Thanks, Jamie

I searched on this topic. Found others who mentioned it, but no solution. I can't seem to get visited links to appear in a different color in Mozilla or Firefox on the PC. It works fine in IE. My CSS is copied below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks DM

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
