On your place I will rather use a dropdownlist becasue there is no guarantee that some user would not just for fun enter some nonsens like a Disniland or
something even worst.

hi In the registration form I have city, state, country fields. I was wondering if there was a database available on the net which has the list of states in each of the countries. That way when a user selects a country I could automatically populate the state drop down menu Any help is appreciated -- bg mahesh

I have multiple screens during a registration process. I have noticed that most BIG registration websites are not using "hidden text input objects" to carry the information from one page to another. what would you suggest? 1) use hidden field objects for example <input type=hidden name=myobj> 2) store in cookies 3) save to a database and retrieve and save as the user goes thought the pages. Even though they could abort the process mid...

Hi In my php page , there is a user registration form. Here the user has to select the country, state, city from the drop down box. How this can be handled in php? If a country is selected in a drop down box , its corresponding states should be populated in the state drop down box. If a state is selected , its corresponding cities should be populated in the city drop down box. Where all these data has to be stored and retrieved. What...

Hi everyone I'm making a new website for a swedish company and the problem is that users from outside sweden should not be allowed to register on this website (because of security reasons) What I found on google was that everytime users try to register the registration page should send a request containing users IP address to a website called (geoip or something) to get the country name.. I think there is another way to check a database. The...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
