Need someone to customize a simple AJAX script a little

4 New Member
Hi there,

I need someone to customise an autocompletion AJAX script a little bit.

This free script here (demo | info & download) offers you auto-completion when typing in a country's name.

I need the following changes:
  1. Functionality on a textarea rather than a textfield (shouldn't be a big thing)
  2. Multiple entries are possible, meaning that once I have selected my first option from the autocompletion menu, I can type in a second word and the autocompletion pops up again (at the moment it only works with one)
  3. A comma is placed automatically after every selection that I make.

Example: I want to be able to type in:

Australia, Germany, Italy, Belgium

in one textarea using the autocompletion.

All other functionalities are to remain the same.

I'm not sure how much work it is. My offer is a $US 30 PayPal payment.

Thanks for any reply

For a programmer you can pay you might want to try www.rentacoder. com. Here you are likely to get help in making the function yourself, unless you catch someone in a very good mood.

I would like have a little "loading..." tab not unlike the one that gmail uses and I would like to display that tab while an ajax call is made. The javascript to display the tab works. The javascript to hide the tab works. But when I put the two together inside the function that calls the ajax service, they don't work. What seems to happen is that calls to change DOM object properties are queued up, and then all executed...

Hi, In my browser, I make an AJAX request. The server sends me a fragment of an HTML document. That fragment has some JavaScript inside some script tags. How do I run these scripts when the fragment arrives at the browser? Thanks, Peter

Hi, Can someone recommend an Javascript toolkit that provides both AJAX- like requests and effects, and that supports IE 5.5+, Firefox 1.5+, and Netscape 7+? I know that NS7 may not be as functional as the others, but I need a toolkit that at least provides some semblance of compatibility - instead of a fade out, for example, NS7 would just simply close the window. Thanks in advance,

lHi guys! I'm having a little problem that's getting on my nerves, I couldn't find a solution, I also tryed googling it and I found nothing... (my field of expertise is in AS 2 and 3, but I still lack some JavaScript solid knowdlege) The problem is that when I try to send a form's content with Ajax (I'm using the prototype library), for some reason the latin characters (accents and stuff, like áéíóú) turn a mess when I try to store them in...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
