Hi - any help with this would be greatly appreicated - it has already had me
confused for a good few hours!
I am using Visual Studio 2003 and the .NET framework 1.1.
I have a C# Windows Service, with my own class extending from ServiceBase in
the normal fashion. The service starts a remoting object (WKO and
singleton) which many clients can then make calls on. Clients may also
register with events on the server such that the server...

Here's the scenerio:
HAD: Entire Windows 2000 domain multiple servers
Internal Web Server - Windows 2000
NAS Server - Windows 2000
Internal Web Application (On Web server) utilizing .ASP scripts to
access shared directories through mapped drives on NAS Server. (And
yes, I know UNC paths should have been used, but I didn't actually
write this, just trying to follow someone else)

Hi,
I cannot create/drop databases from the command line, only from the
GUI. Below is a detailed description of my installation and
configuration attempts (sorry about the long post).
I'm usually logged on to my PC as a domain user, IBE\ikovacs. As
IBE\ikovacs, I'm member of my PC's Administrators group. There's also a
local user Administrator, who's the default Windows admin user. I used
that account (using runas) to install DB2...

Hi all,
i have been having trouble with a login script that works on my
windows machine, however when i upload it to the Unix server through
VPN, the same script won't work! It won't parse member.txt properly i
think. The password and usernames i am using are at the bottom of this
post.
Each time i go to login on the unix server, it clears the username and
password field. I have been attempting to solve the problem, but have
been...

i'm trying to create a 'kiosk' type of workstation, based on a particular login (where the desktop is pretty much locked and the user won't have access to run commands, change taskbar, etc). Now, the OS of this syetsm is WIndows Server 2003.
I'm trying to achieve this using LOCAL Group Policy Editor (i'm not worried abt domain right now). Now, i created an account called "TENANT" and made it a member of groups "user" and "Administrators"....

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
