You will need to setup that folder on either a network server using server 2000+ or you can connect to the folder via the computer. For example if you want to share a file on your computer go to run from the other computer and type in \\YOURCOMPUTER. YOURDOMAIN.com\ c$\Documents and Settings\My File
If your computer is not on the domain you may have to use remote access.

You can set up a share on your computer (any OS based on NT will do - NT; 2K; XP; Server 2K3; ). Right-click on a folder that the file(s) are within and select Sharing or Properties to set up a share.
From a remote computer, map a drive letter to \\PCNAME\SHAREN AME then navigate to the file in the usual way.

Normally it's better to set the permissionning on the files or folders themselves but, it may be easier for a novice to set permissions on the share. Just add the names you want.

On my development machine I have the oracle client 10g installed and my application works. But on the Web server I get the error below. I believe it is because the Oracle client was not installed on the web server. The web server has two drives, our techs installed the oracle client on one drive and my...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
