resetting the size of SWF's in a Container

2 New Member
Hello everyone,

I am faily new to scripting and have come up againstmy first problem

I have a slight problem trying to resize a swf which is in a Container (loader)

ok so here is what I have.

On stage there is my container which loades swf files from an extern folder. At the press of a couple of buttons you can zoom in, out, move up down and so on.
What I also need is a btn which resizes and re-positions my swf to the original setting.
I just do not seem to be able to get round this problem.

thanks,
Ian

Hi All This sounds such a simple request, but doesn't seem to work. Basically I'm allowing the user to upload their own SWF files to their web site via a web browser (ASPupload). I don't want to limit the dimensions that they have to use in their SWF files so I want to simply extract and display their chosen SWF file without specifying the width and height of the file. For some reason IE can't

With "normal" SWF HTML there's an EMBED tag nested within an OBJECT tag. How can I check which tag is actually displaying the SWF? I'm using CSS on them and the style on the OBJECT affects the EMBED tag so I'm going to use some code to correct it but I can't tell which tag is responsible for the display. Andrew Poulos

I have one .SWF with horizontal and vertical size =70%. IE6 browses correctly when I resize the window, and adapts the .swf to fit in the 70% window size. Firefox 2.0 works well with horizontal size, but with vertical size, goes wrong. When I resize window, the .SWF only adapts its size on horizontal coordinate. Vertical one, don´t move. The code follows: <div align="center">

Version: Flash MX (A.S. 2.0) Hello. I haven't posted since signing on a few weeks ago. I've searched your site seeking an answer or answers to the concept of creating a "close button" for my external swf's. I've also searched engines; Ask.com, Yahoo.com, Lycos.com, etc.. I've tried the following methods of code as solutions, with no success: on press{ unloadMovie (1); } ..or...

Hi. I must first say I'm not an experienced scripter. Here's my problem and how far I am so far. I struggled for awhile to get the browser to fill most of it with my flash movie and keep it proportional if the user chooses to size up or size down. This pretty much takes care of the browser size complications. Here is original script and it works. But now I have few problems after this. CODE#1 <!-- masked --> <html> <head>...

RE: Access 2003 I wanted to turn off right clicking on forms so users couldn't go into design mode and change stuff. I have a special "programmers' form that, when a password is put in, enables F11 so I can go modify objects in the container. Now I cannot even right click in the container. I tried looping through the forms and resetting the shortcut menu

Hi there, I'm a newbie with AS2....and i wanted to learn to create a photo gallery that scrolls right or left, and that when you click on the photo it becomes bigger. Well I found a tutorial from a site. The only thing is that... when I built it and applied it to my project it does not work: The issue is that it takes over the main page, even though is in its own swf file....(It's part of a flash website, where each page is loaded...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
