While at first this may seem a simple tast, it has plagued me for a while... What I want to do is to have the background colour of something like a TextBox to change from (say) White to Yellow to White to Yellow and then back to White in about 1 second or so. This is to create something like a 'flash' (or a Pulse) for when a User clicks on 1 of 4 Radio Buttons (which change the Text in the TextBox). So in other words, to get the...

I am trying to swap/rotate random flash banners using the following Javascript code. I have 3 flash headers/banners. I can get it to open a page with a random header using document.write(randomHeader) in the chooseHeader() function, but the rest of the page doesn't get displayed with that approach. Instead, what I would like to do is comment the document.write(randomHeader) line, and use the random reference I have in the table cell...

Hi there I am trying to display a dropdownlist, label and image in the foreground with a Flash animation in the background. I'm using the following code, which works for the dropdownlist but doesn't work for the label and image controls! (P.S. My apologies, I can't show the code in a legible format in Outlook Express so I have highlighted some of the core features in bold.) Please help! Best regards Loane <div align="center"...

Hi, I have an upload application written in PHP and Flash. The PHP page gets the file information via $_POST. Moreover, the user never actually visits the PHP page, rather Flash sends the information to the PHP page and then loads the result, all in the background. Right now, the php page cannot access the $_SESSION. Is there anyway that I can conitnue the PHP session when doing this or does the user have to visit the PHP page?

OK, today is my twofer special on js questions. BTW: the method used here is working in Firefox I'm working on a script that switches the width of a Flash movie between 100% and 812 pixels depending on the innerwidth of the browser window. The point is when a flash movie is embedded for fullscreen usage (100%) it acts somewhat like a background, and won't cause scrollbars if the window is scaled to a smaller size than the 'actual' content...

Greetings. BACKGROUND: My sites are pure XHTML 1.1 with CSS 2.1 for markup. My pages are delivered as application/xhtml+xml for all non-MS web clients, and as text/xml for all MS web clients (Internet Explorer). My flash content was originally brought in via the “flash satay” method, but I have since used some server-side magic do deliver one <objecttag

Hi I have a flash interactive window which has html links and this appears on an html page. This window can be moved with the mouse on the html page. The html page has an iFrame too. When the flash window comes above the iframe area the html links stop working. Yet the links remain active when the flash window is outside the iFrame area. This problem is coming in Firefox, but running fine in IE. If anybody has any solution, please...

Converting PowerPoint to Flash would absolutely be a good choice to distribute your bulky PowerPoint presentations. You can do the whole PowerPoint to Flash conversion manually or with professional applications. First, you'll need to prepare the PowerPoint files. Make sure you are not using any complicated gradients or animations. These will be interpreted poorly when they are brought into Flash. Also, make sure there are no objects that...

Hi, I'm embedding a last.fm flash widget. I want to be able to remove it from the page using javascript. I've tried to delete the html element that contains the code but it keeps playing in IE. In FF it stops playing but I can't tell if it is removed or not. Can I do it in javascript or maybe I need a FLASH script to do it?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
