How to open a local file and split it in chunks?

Hello,
I'm writing a WebApplication that has to load and store some big files (2mb-10mb) into a specific folder on my server.
I'm working with PHP server-side but I cannot upload the file trought PHP file load because my max_upload_size in php.ini is locked to 2mb. I thought I could write a code with Js to split a file in chunks of 2mb and then send them with PHP file load. Suddenly only IE supports activex execution, so my pseudo-code is not cross browsers.
I'd need someone to tell me if is possible to do what I need with Flash and how please.
Feel free to suggest me other solutions too!
Greetings,
Luke

I have a text file where the fields are delimited in various different ways. For example, strings are terminated with a tilde, numbers are terminated with whitespace, and some identifiers are terminated with a newline. This means I can't effectively use split() except on a small scale. For most of the file I can just call one of several functions I wrote that read in just as much data as is required from the input string, and return the...

Suppose I have a file containing several lines similar to this: :10000000E7280530AC00A530AD00AD0B0528AC0BE2 The data I want to extract are 8 hexadecimal strings, the first of which is E728, like this: :10000000 E728 0530 AC00 A530 AD00 AD0B 0528 AC0B E2 Also, the bytes in the string are reversed. The E728 needs to be 28E7,

I am trying to split a file by a fixed string. The file is too large to just read it into a string and split this. I could probably use a lexer but there maybe anything more simple? thanks m.

I've written the following sample to split a string into chunks. Is this the right approach or is there perhaps a better way to accomplish getting chunks of a string? #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #define BUFSIZE 10 int main(int argc, char *argv) {

I posted this on ado.net, which seems like the wrong group - so here it goes! Hi All, I want to process a file in chunks, meaning I have a big file of 50K rows. I want to process 5K rows at a time. I am using StreamReader object and looping through each row and process it, and as I process it I create an XML file and send it to DB to be

Hi, I'm curious about server load and download time if I use one big javascript file or break it into several smaller ones. Which is better? (Please think of this as the first time the scripts are downloaded so that browser caching is out of the equation.) Thanks, Peter

Hello. Well, this is my first post on any USENET group anywhere, so I hope I get it right. Basically, I just want to get some opinions on a plan of mine for a new project. I want to produce a small, peer to peer, file sharing network for the use of myself and some of my friends. The purpose of this is basically to allow us to share files conveniently without relying on technology such as Windows Live Messenger (Yuck).

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
