slow running flash content

1 New Member
hey just wondering does anyone have idea as to why flash content in a web page may slow after being left to play for a while.

what i have is a page with a flash banner in it and lets say if i went away for 10mins and come back it slows down and dramatically stagers.

I have tried a .removeMovieCli p on the looping movie clip elements but to no avail.

Any suggestions or solutions most welcome.
thanks

sounds like something in your movie is loading over again. i had that happen to me with some audio, where every time the end of the swf was reached, then audio reloaded again and again until everything died. i was testing w/o speakers, so i found out the hard way. check to see that you dont have a movieclip that is running over and over again needlessly

Hello, there is a known problem with Opera and the execution of content shown in <NOSCRIPT> tag. Everythings works fine, if there is only one simple script like: http://www.dr-wald.de/test/Opera-NOSCRIPT.html Switching off Javascript will show the alternative content. Javascript enabled will only show the JS-content, _not_ the <NOSCRIPT> content.

I am working on concept where I want to deliver web-based content and functionality from a USB Flash drive for users who don't have access to the Internet. The functionality includes personaliztion features and preferences that will alter how the pages are served. It is a classic three-tier model. Does anyone have experience running a database on a USB flash drive and if so could you tell me: 1. Which database (Access, FoxPro, etc...)...

OK, today is my twofer special on js questions. BTW: the method used here is working in Firefox I'm working on a script that switches the width of a Flash movie between 100% and 812 pixels depending on the innerwidth of the browser window. The point is when a flash movie is embedded for fullscreen usage (100%) it acts somewhat like a background, and won't cause scrollbars if the window is scaled to a smaller size than the 'actual' content...

Greetings. BACKGROUND: My sites are pure XHTML 1.1 with CSS 2.1 for markup. My pages are delivered as application/xhtml+xml for all non-MS web clients, and as text/xml for all MS web clients (Internet Explorer). My flash content was originally brought in via the “flash satay” method, but I have since used some server-side magic do deliver one <objecttag

Hey everyone, i've been playing around with trying to get some scripts to work with detecting whether flash player is installed on your computer or not. I found a flash detection kit on the adobe site which had a client side detection method using javascript. Basically what im trying to get it to do is if flash player is installed, use the style property display="none" to hide my static content, and if flash is not installed hide the flash...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
