does a set integrity imediate checked statement write out log records, can it not

If it does write out logs can it be stopped from doing this . I had a set intergrity fail on a transaction log full message after a sucessfull attach . This was in UDB LUW

I should also point out that there are NO generated columns on the table.

Hi Gary,

Yes it does involve logging and it has n umber of elments involved when you used the "set integrity" cluase which starts a transaaction that can be running long and dows all the processing until commiting finally upon completion.

Diagnosing this is not a straight forward thing as per your requirement. Logging is an integral part of database and limiting it inthe above case can render other dependent parts useless. Log a PMR with IBM and provide all the details ( the associated person will let you know about the details and how to extract those) which will be verified by us and the team can know what's going on in your case.
