Hi, I have tables named like ag97a027, ag98a027, ... where 97 and 98 is from year 1997, 1998 and a027 is just specification of product type. I need carry out repeated operataions over these tables. To generate their names is easy, for example use declare @Yint int, @Y char(2), @tabName char(8) set @Yint = 1997 while @Yint < 2002

If so where would I find the same definition for the max name space for a sequence, or index... -- Chris Bowlby <excalibur@hub.org>

I am trying to develop a stored procedure for an existing application that has data stored in numerous tables, each with the same set of columns. The main columns are Time and Value. There are literally hundreds of these tables that are storing values at one minute intervals. I need to calculate the value at the end of the current hour for any table. I am a little new to SQL Server, but I have some experience with other RDBMS. I get an...

Dear all, I have several tables based on exactly the same fields (Key/Date/Price1/Price2). I do some statistics on the prices. However, as I have many different tables (the tables are different because I directly import the data from a .csv file), I do not want to create dozens of queries to be able to get the results of the different tables.

Hi everyone, I am using some VB code to have a "Notes" table be stored for use on all forms that relates to the specific record in any other table. (I haven't used the terminology in a while, but i believe the FK is the primary key of another table???) I have created a table of all the tables in my database: tblTableList TableID; AutoNumber; PK TableName; String DateAdded: Date/Time

I am in the process of normalizing and re-creating a database that was a total maintanence mess. Currently the database has 640 tables. each table is an assembly and contains the data of its sub parts. Now I have created a new database that will incorporate only a hand full of tables. 1 for the part info 1 for assembly reference 1 for category info 1 for category reference etcetc... What I would like to do create a query that will search...

Hi, I'm a novice Access user and have a simple question but can't seem to find the answer. I have tables imported and named by the user on import e.g. January. I then need to run a query on the table that the user selects (same query and each table is in the same format so the fields are known). I have a combo box on the form for the user to select the table on which to perform the query. It's just the table name which is the variable i...

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
