Hi,
I have upgraded my program from vb.net 2003 to vb.net 2005. In 2003, I
can get the database name of tables of crystal report by the following code:
For Each table In ReportTemp.Data base.Tables
pPrintSetting.O riDataBase = table.Location
......
I can get the database name from "table.Location ", (i.e.
Databasename.Ta blename)
However, in 2005, "table.Location " become table name only. (i.e.
TableName), with the database name missing.
I would like to ask how can I get the database name in 2005.
Thanks a lot,

Hi,
I have a crystal reports hosted on the IIS as web service. Everything works fine except that I can not access the database other than the one on which the report originally created.
I am using the LogOnInfo of the viewer to set the user name, password, database location and server names
But the following kb article says 'When using the viewer's LogOnInfo collection, you are unable to change the database/table information for a report...

Problem: My company generates its own data export from a propietary
database. These (free) tables can be read in C#.NET using a Visual FoxPro
driver (vfpoledb). I can read each of the six tables into its own datatable,
modify them, and add them to a dataset. It take approximately 15 minutes to
pass that dataset to Crystal Reports (45 minutes if the report uses three
subreport datasets). Then it takes over 7 hours for Crystal to...

Hello,
I have a multithreaded windows NT service application (vb.net 2003) that I
am working on (my first one), which reads a message queue and creates
multiple threads to perform the processing for long running reports. When
the processing is complete it uses crystal reports to load a template file,
populate it, and then export it to a PDF.
It works fine so far....

I can't believe that there aren't lots of developers who:
1. create a crystal report that connects to sql server
2. calls the report using the crystalreportviewer control to view it and
then, if appropriate, print it
3. tries to deploy that report to the client's database, but now it calls
for a different database name
Yet I can't get an answer to the question:
I have developed numerous reports in an app (Windows Database App) that...

Hello,
I have an ASP web app with an SQL back end. I am currently migrating to a
new Windows 2003 Server machine and SQL Server 2005 Express. When I import
the old database, I'm trying to grant the IUSR_MachineName account access to
the database, but I can't seem to find that user account. I'm clicking new
users, and when I type this user in, SQL doesn't recognize it, and when I
click "Browse" all I see is BUILTIN/Administrators,...

Want to call a crystal report of version 8.5 through VB.NET.
In this the data is passed to report through XML file. On running this, the report asks for Database name, Server name, Userid, Pwd.
Subreports are also used into that report.
I want it to directly display the report without asking for this info .
I tried for code from google, as follows
Database.Tables(0).ApplyLogOnInfo(myLogin)

Hello all...
I have a C# forms application that I am developing using MS Visual Studio 2005. I am trying to add some Crystal Reports to this application using the built in Crystal Reports tools with Visual Studio.
It seems like it should be pretty straight forward, but no matter what I do I can't get my reports to actually show data. Here's the info:
I created a crystal report viewer on a form. I created a crystal report that has a data...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
