I have a database that is used to store a lot of data. We load the data on a
daily basis, several thousand records per day. The Log file is not needed,
so whats the best way to delete the records in it and reduce the size

We're new into DB2 and have some problem with DB2 8.1 (?) on a Linux system.
We load some big tables of a DB2 database from files every day. We do a
"DELETE FROM table" for each table and then we load the data by something
like that:
LOAD FROM "/pathto/artikel.data" OF DEL MODIFIED BY DATESISO CHARDEL0xbf
SAVECOUNT 50000

I am using Access 2002. WinXP, Template from MS called Orders Mgmt DB.
I have tweaked this DB to work for our small co. It has worked pretty
well up until I made the mistake of deleting about 80 records from the

I am taking DB2 Online backups through TSM API daily. When i check the
database configuration parameters , it shows me " Number of database
backup verions to maintain"= 12.
