Copy Table shows target databases wrong in Control Center

8 New Member
Hi everybody,

I installed DB2 version 7 a few times, I always had some issues with the installation. Now finally seems to be ok, but there is something weird when I want to copy a table from one system to another:
In Control Center I can see 3 instances of DB2 on my local machine:
DB2 (LOCAL) - containing no database
DB2CTLSV - containing 2 databases:
- SATCTLDB
- TEST
DB2 (TCP/IP) - containing no database

When I select a table from another system, right click, choose copy, as I specify the target table, if I choose the instance DB2 (LOCAL), I can see those 2 databases (SATCTLDB and TEST from DB2CTLSV instance)
If I choose the DB2CTLSV instance, in the Database combo nothing shows up.

This is very weird, they appear opposite as it shows them in Control Center.
Actually when I choose the target database TEST, choosing DB2 (LOCAL) as instance, the copy operation will execute and the table will be in the right place under the DB2CTLSV instance in the TEST database.

Anybody has an idea what can cause this?

Thank you,
Steven

I have 2 databases, one that we use called MyShop and one that I develop on called TestShop. After I have a stored procedure working the way I want in TestShop , is there a way to just copy the SP to the other database without the copy and paste method?. Same if I have a new table. Any way to add it in without recreating it in the MyShop database? I am using Sql Server 2000 Thanks Andy

For testing purposes I propose to add a schema (testing, how original) and would like to copy some of my live tables to it, both structure and data. I know I could use something like dump/restore for the data and Quest's (BTW this a very nice product) 'create like' function. That would work, but it seems a lot of work for something DB2 should know how to do.

Hello All, I¡¯m using a context menu associated with some pictureboxes to provide copy/paste functionality. Copying the image to the clipboard was easy. But pasting an image from the clipboard is proving to be more difficult. These pictureboxes are bound to an AccessDB. If the user wants to add an image, they select an image using an OpenFileDialog: Dim result As DialogResult = Pic_Sel.ShowDialog() If (result = DialogResult.OK) Then

I'm trying to copy all 440 million rows from one table in my SQL Server 2005 db to another table with a different clustering scheme. After a few test inserts that were successful (up to a million rows in 20 seconds with no problem), I crossed my fingers and went whole-hog with the naive "insert into dest_table (column1, column2, ...) select column1, column2, ... from source_table" but of course it ran out of space in *both* the db log file...

Recently I was engaged in the database optimization for one big commercial application. During this business I was greatly astound by the fact that it's impossible in DB2 to get the accurate size of a table. Indeed, the disk space occupied by a table is composed from three parts: # part size information @ - ------------------ ------------------ 1) data (except LOBs) syscat.tables: (npages, fpages) - exact info 2) indexes ...

I've been playing around with DIV tables in myspace to better learn how to rewrite my own code for my business site without having to pay someone to design it. I've tried embedding a slideshow into a div table and after I save it I noticed that the slideshow does not show up and the embed code I added is altered. Can anyone help me figure this out? The embed code that I'm talking about is three quarters down the code page under {PHOTOS},...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
