I have a some CPU intensive C#, .NET, MS SQL (with stored procedures) code
to run. I am using a IE to run it now but IE loses the thread after a
while - however the task does complete in the background. I want to run it
directly on server, like a BATCH job (DOS) or CRON job (UNIX).
I dont have root access to the server, but it is my own dedicated server, so
I can request Admin to run jobs, I suppose.
Is there a way to run C# code in...

applications.
question:
if I start the batch file from app1, how can app1 know that the batch file
ran successfully and there was no errors.. (is there a return type)

Hi,
I have this Applet-hosted Socket connection to my server and in an
ONevent/function I am retrieving all these lovely rows from the server and
inserting them into the Select-List. (The on screen appearance of the Select
List grows for the first 5 rows then the scroll bar appears if there's
more). So far so good. . .
The problem is that none of the rows I'm inserting appear on the screen
until I have RETURNed from my function; so If...

I have two Oracle Homes (9iR2 & 10g R2) installed on Windows Server 2003. I have jobs running on my 9i database for backup and they are now failing because the default home is now10g as that was installed last. I need a command which will switch my Oracle Home to 9i so I can run these jobs. I can use the Universal Installer to change homes, but I need a batch command so I do not need to do so manually. I have tried ohsel -switch "Oracle Home...

Hi.
I have a number of batch jobs that are ran nightly on our Windows 2000 based
Oracle 8.1.7 (soon to be 9i) server. I have these designed just right, so
the Windows Scheduled Tasks runs them and then a parser goes through the
output and, in case of errors, sends me a page...
The database is our financial system which requires users to login using
Oracle based user ID / Password.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...
