Newbie alert, here, so I apologise in advance.
I have a website hosted with one company, under one domain, that needs
to be moved to another host, and under another domain name.
I've tried moving the files, I've tried installing PHP Nuke through
CPanel, and I've tried copying databases exported using phpMyAdmin,
but nothing seems to work.
Help? I'm out of my depth now...

Greetings, I need help configuring/building PHP3 with MySQL as a DSO
on a Solaris 8 box - this module is needed to host some existing
sites I will be migrating
Note. I built PHP4 from source and it loads without an error.
When I try t run "apachectl configtest" I get the following error:
--
Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp3.so into server: ld.so.1:
/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd:

Hi, I set up PHP 4.xx using Apache 1.3 on Windows XP to begin a
project. The project now needs to be moved to a real test box.
Admittedly, I am not quite sure how I was able to access Oracle on my
machine, but I know I have the Oracle client installed, have two odbc
DSNs (CAI/PT Oracle 8) installed and uncommented php_oci8.dll and
php_oracle.dll. Other than that, I kind of just played around until it
worked.
Now my code needs to be...

I've installed the ActiveState binary distribution for Solaris in my
home directory, but I'm having problems with Tk.
I think I did everything right -- I used gtar rather than Solaris tar,
and the install process indicated it was successful. I added the
python directory to ~/.bashrc.
Python works fine from the command line.
But if I try to execute anything that uses Tkinter (including Idle),

I am having a real problem with the Launch conditions in VS .NET and can
only come to the conclusion that it is a bug.
It states quite emphatically in the MSDN that Launch Conditions WILL be
executed in the order added. This statement holds true if every Condition
has a InstallURL value set. but not if there is no InstallURL value.
For Example :
I want to check that W2K exists on the target machine before installing SP4.
So, I add a...

I'm trying to do an install of mysql on a Sun Ultra 10 machine running
Solaris 10 (1/06) which is a completely clean, fresh install.
I can get the packaged (with Solaris 10) version of mysql (4.0.something)
running easily.
I do have version 5.0.15-standard installed and running on another machine.
It appears that between 5.0.15 and 5.0.22 someone has made a decision to
change the locations that the files are sent to and nobody has...

In all my previous C++ projects I used the gcc as compiler.
For some reasons I want to try out the Sun compiler instead.
How can I install and use this compiler instead?
Is the Sun C++ compiler pre-installed on Linux resp. Solaris?
How can I call him?

Hello,
I recently upgraded from wsus2.0 to wsus3.0 I was having problems so I wiped
the install emptied the database and started fresh. I did a fresh install
and I still have the same problem I had before.
I see the clients in wsus admin console but they have a yellow sign next to
every client. I tried to do some research and I think it has something to do
with my workstations not seeing the server.
here are some more info -

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
