Hi,
I am creating a global temporary table that is session-specific. I
insert a BLOB into this table, and then select the BLOB from this
table into a ResultSet. The ResultSet sees this BLOB object, and I am
able to get the binary input stream from this blob. However, when I
invoke InputStream.read(byte) on this input stream, I get the
following exception:
java.io.IOException: ORA-01410: invalid ROWID

I have a pivot table implementation, part of which is posted below. It
returns no errors in query analyzer, but when profiler is run, it shows
that "Error 208" is happening. I looked that up in BOL and it means
that an object doesn't exist. This block of code below works fine on my
local development machine, but not on our shared development server
until I go into the tempdb and make the user have the role db_owner.

My situation is as follows. I have several big SQL queries in a data
warehouse using 1 big fact tables and 10 dimension tables. The queries
join all of them together but the optimizer doesn't care which
dimension table it joins first (we ran runstats on all of them but the
dimensions look a lot alike... about same order of rows, ...). I know
it should first join on 1 specific dimension if it's in the query
since that dimension will discard...

Hi.
I am trying to test out the automatic maintanance with notification
feature of DB2 v8.2. I have enabled the auto maint with notification.
The problem I am facing is that I only get email notifications from DB2
when there is an alarm as follows:
ADM10500E Health indicator "Monitor Heap Utilization"
("db2.mon_heap_util") breached the "upper" alarm threshold of "95 %"
with value "124 %" on "instance" "DB2"....

An application I wrote has been deployed on Citrix, and the Citrix admin
tells me all users run the same .mde file. There aren't a lot of concurrent
users, but even 2 could be cause for concern.
I think the use of globals is worrisome in this case. Anybody have any
experience with Access on Citrix?
(Al Kallal already griped me out about globals, but if he has anything new
to add I'm all ears).
