I'm (still) working on an ISO 8601 date parser. I want to convert at least

Well.. I've got most of it working (via RegEx's) good enough for me but I'm
having a brain block when it comes to TimeZone.
The datetime may come with an optional timezone offset (from GMT) as here
(the offset is +1 hour from GMT):

Hello,
Given Datetime value in a string, I wish to write a code where in I
could convert the datetime to a value in particular timezone. For
example, If the given datetime is 10:00 am in CST, i wish to convert it
to Eastern(11:00 am) or anyother timezone depending on the user's
system timezone.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

related in any way to main logic flow.

is it possible to change default time zone in setting timestamp object ? ps.setTimestamp(int index, TimeStamp ts) set TS in database with DB time zone. I know that in Oracle exists method on connection setDefaultTimeZone(TimeZone) that change this zone in setting. Is it something like this in DB2, too?
