Dumb question perhaps, but hey.
SQL Agent on sql2k, client sp3a, server vanilla.
In EM Agent Icon Status does'nt show. Server running status doesnt
show till explicitly connected.
Agent has both start and stop menu options enabled, and no green
arrow/red square (Green Arrow, Red Square ... sounds like a Russian
kung fu flick). Also if I try to start it I get error 5 - access
denied. Believe it is running tho - jobs happily ticking...

Hi! guys,
I have a SQL agent job fails because it gets 10 warnings when it runs
a stored procedure. These warnings are trivial and can be ignored. Can
I make it ignore these warnings and proceed? I think there is some
setting I can do to change the default behavour of an agent job
regarding warnings but I just don't know how to do it.
Any idea?

Hi guys,
I have put together a flexible client-side user agent detector (written in
js). I thought that some of you may find it useful. Code is here:
http://fotios.cc/software/ua_detect.htm
The detector requires javascript 1.0 to work. This translates to netscape
2.0 and IE 3.0 (although maybe IE 2.0 also works with it)

Hey everyone --
I've been having this problem for a couple weeks and was hoping maybe
someone can help out a little bit.
Synopsis:
This SQL agent job contains code to perform a full database backup with
verification and is writing to a local disk array. I typically also use
some code for reporting - declaring variables and inserting them into

I am confused about how to interpret the Merge Agent History panel and
the Session Details of the Merge Agent panel. The Merge Agent History
panel has columns to the right that indicate pretty clearly where the
action is occuring, at the Publisher and at the Subscriber. In my case
I see lots of inserts at the Publisher.
Next when I open the Session Details of the Merge Agent panel, I see a
set of actions all indicated as downloads. If...

In the snapshot for database I have a high value for the line:
Agents stolen from another application
Can someone explain what is actually meant by the statement (how is an
agent stolen) and what type of impact a high value for this has on a
system?
Thanks!!!

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
