Exclamation point in password irritates DB2 CC?

DB2 WSE 8.1 FP5
Linux Red Hat 2.1 AS

I am using a new more secure password for my instance owner
account, one which has an exclamation point in it.

Using CC, when I try to import or export or use any of the
various automated functions, I get:

SQL0104N An unexpected token "!" was found following
"<identifie r>". Expected tokens may include: "NEW".

A syntax error in the SQL statement was detected at the specified
token following the text "<text>". The "<text>" field indicates
the 20 characters of the SQL statement that preceded the token
that is not valid..... <snip>

If I press the 'Show Command' button, copy the command to a
cmd-line CLP script, and let DB2 ask me for the password on the
cmd line, all is fine. So the problem is that the exclamation
point in the password irritates CC.

This is slowing me down... Any ideas?

I'd like so that when a user moves there mouse over an image (or clicks the image, either way it doesn't matter), I'd like some text to appear. I was going to use the img tag with the alt parameter but the text is a few sentences long and the yellowish box doesn't stay up long enough to read the whole thing? Is there a way to keep the yellowish box there until the use moves his mouse away, or to keep the box there for maybe 10 seconds or...

I'm using a third-party chat application. They require that form field names be formatted "SESSIONVAR!FIELDNAME". The bang is creating headaches when I try to write validation script. How can I handle this format properly? I'm not sure how to escape the exclamation point within my code. TIA for your time and expertise.

I have ordered the book .NET Framework Solutions, In Search of the Lost Win32 API by John Paul Meuller which I think will help answer some of my questions I have regarding making custom MessageBoxes, but that isn't going to be here for a few days. So, I thought I would ask you guys how to put one of hte standard MessageBox icons, such as MessageBoxIcon.Exclamation, into my custom MessageBox. Thanks,

After sending an email message formatted for HTML using the STMP Mail function within .NET, my message arrives with exclamation marks throughout the text, which inadvertantly hinders the correct formatting of the text. Importing the source from one of these messages to Microsoft Word, I was able to see that after each of the exclamation marks a hidden paragraph mark exists. I've read other postings where the developer used StringBuilder...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
