Hi.
Once a LOB size goes beyond 32KB in size, I'm not able to use the LOAD
utility to unload the data off the tables for DB2 7.1 on OS/390.
Instead, the documentation refers to a sample C++ program --
DSN710.SDSNSAMP(DSN8DLPL) to use for this purpose.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has a COBOL equivalent to this as I do
not have a C++ compiler?

I have been asked to copy a handfull of table spaces in to new
identical table spaces so that they can be accessed with out running
into the nightly batch update. I first did a FULLCOPY with SHARELEVEL
REFERENCE of the table space. Then I copied the DDL used to create the
original object and changed the table space name, table name, index
names and made sure that the priqty/secqty were adequate to hold the

Hello all,
I have a question about loading DB2. I ran a DSN1COPY against a
imagecopy of 1 tablespace and the output to a flat file instead of the
original DB2 VSAM dataset. Can I use this flat file to load a DB2
table that was dropped and recreated? In this shop, not everyone has
authority to work directly with the underlying DB2 VSAM datasets for
security reasons.
How can one find out from a imagecopy the OBID of the table in that

I didn't get any hits when I searched deja for
DSN1COPY dynamic allocation
so either everyone else had no trouble realizing that this happens or
nobody else has ever come across it.
I've used DSN1COPY for years for moving data between z/OS subsystems for
testing, and for refreshing tables from Image Copies for regression testing.
Developers seem to find it less confusing to use the same JCL to move data
between 1 of 14 test...

I am running DB2 v9 in z/OS.
I am trying to recovery a dropped table but I could not do it.
I have the full and incremental image copies from before of the drop table command.
The recover utility is working right and shows RC=0, but the table has not been recovered.
When I try to recover another table that had all the rows deleted is working.
Anyone can help me?

Hi,
My database has only one table which is segmented and has wround 20 M rows. This tablespace has 2 VSAM datasets A001 and A002 at the source and also in the target.
I am using the image copy to refresh target environment using DSN1COPY.
The below error says of OBID 16 which is not the right identifier for the tablespace from the catalog or from DSN1PRNT.
So I am sure that sysxlat input is 100% right.
