I have db2 7.2 on Win 2000, programing MS VB6.0
I update 1 field on 600 records - successfully, but if i update more then
600 records then i have err. mesage
[S1008] [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/NT] SQL0952N Processing was cancelled due to
an interrupt. SQLSTATE=57014
T his is my query:
Update KC113DELO.DNEVN IK Set TTEMA='109 Po¾igi' Where IDDNEVNIKA>1000

May be your log files aren't big enough?
To make sure try to issue the same command from the db2 command line
processor.
If log files are the problem then increase the size or the number of
primary and or scondary logfiles.

Vlado,
We run into this in our shop a lot. It's effectively a time-out error.
The time out interval on your VB object is expiring and effectively
cancelling the transaction, even though DB2 is still working on it.
Our solution was to associate the SQL statement with a command object,
and set the timeout interval on the command object to a longer period.
Hope that helps.

I have one table of new records (tableA) that may already exist in
tableB. I want to insert these records into tableB with insert if they
don't already exist, or update any existing ones with new data if they
do already exist. A column (Action) in tableA already tells me whether
this is an INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE. I'm able to derive that I can do
an insert with
select * into tableB from tableA where Action = 'INSERT'
....and I think...

I have two tables:
T1 : Key as bigint, Data as char(20) - size: 61M records
T2 : Key as bigint, Data as char(20) - size: 5M records
T2 is the smaller, with 5 million records.
They both have clustered indexes on Key.
I want to do:

Hi all
We had a small problem when an ASP web page had a missing 'where' statement
and updated all the records in the table. Luckily we could retrieve all the
data from the backups.
How do you guys prevent this from happening in your large systems. Is there
some teqnique for controlling this, I would imagine if you had thousands of
records in a table and some one made a programming error, then the
consequences would be disastrous.

I've beaten my head againts this for two weeks and would appreciate
any help. Am running Dreamweaver 2004 MX asp pages with MS Access 2000

I've rebuilt pages etc. etc.
Insert and update work, but updating of records with data in the memo
field seem to crash/corrupt Access--but only on those records.
The problem seems to narrow down to updating a record's memo field. It

- after an UPDATE: knowing wich number of records were updated (or if there
were records udpated or not)

Hi all,
Any thoughts on the best way to run an update query to update a specific
list of records where all records get updated to same thing. I would think
a temp table to hold the list would be best but am also looking at the
easiest for an end user to run. The list of items is over 7000
Example:
update imitmidx_sql set activity_cd = 'O', activity_dt = '20060601',
prod_cat = 'OBS' where item_no = '001-LBK'
update imitmidx_sql set...

The system has worked for two years.
SQL Server 2000 runs on Windows 2000 Server "A".
Another instance of SQL Server 2000 was moved from Windows 2000 Server
"B" old to Windows 2003 Server "B" new, by restoring a backed
up copy from old to new.
The system has cross server updates, where Server "A" is updating
records in very large tables on Server "B".

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
