Probably would not be a good idea for the transaction processing part of
People Soft, but may be OK for the IW part (assuming they have an IW part).
It would have to be a pretty big IW if they had one to justify multiple
partitions.

Parallel databases can be used for both OLTP and OLAP.

You are absolutely correct. But you need a fairly high volume transaction
rate to justify parallel database for OLTP, and I am not sure most companies
would have those high volumes of transactions using PeopleSoft (but I could
be wrong).
