ESE parallel db - how to drop a node from nodegroup

Dear all
I want to drop a node from a nodegroup. Can someone confirm if its
enough to redistribute a node group with a partition map which doesn't
include the node to be dropped?

I can't see any other way to drop node 3 from my setup of 5 nodes than
to make a partmap file, DNODE_tmap, formatted so
1
2
4
5
.... for 4096 lines, then do
db2 "redistribu te database partition group DNODE using targetmap
DNODE_tmap "

This seems to work, but what is the "drop database partition" option
for? Is there, as I suspect a better way to do this? After I have done
the above command, the "alter database partition" command with drop
option isn't necessary.

thx for any help

I think you are heading the in the right direction ... the redistribute command can be used not only to move the data, but also can be used to drop the partition from the system. You can also use the ALTER DATABASE PARTITION GROUP command to drop the partition once the data is moved. You can use the DROP DBPARTITIONNUM VERIFY command to ensure the partition can now be removed. For more details I refer you to the DB2 UDB V8.1 Command Reference.

Good luck!

The issue I am having is that I would like to be able to drag-and-drop div elements that have rounded corners.* Since these elements will be dynamically created (including background color), I could not use the "standard" rounded corner method of sliced images for the corners (since that would only allow a certain color to match) I tried using...
