I am building a secure download page for my company using cfcontent and cfheader. The file names and paths are stored in a db and they could be PDFs, XLSs, DOCs, TXT, DOTs or RTF and there may be other file types down the road. So I leave the cfcontent set with application unknown.
It works great in IE7, just the way I want it to.
In IE6, the download/save screen comes up, the file type is known, so when you try to 'save as', it has the file name of the web page substituted in the Save window. It seems to be totally ignoring the extension, unlike IE7.
Any ideas?
