Apologies for the cross-post but i thought i'd aim for the largest audience
possible.
I have a web site that users have to register to with their email address.
The site then emails the user their password via Exchange 2000 and
ASP/VBScript and CDO.
Does anyone know if its possible to verify that the email address exists
before sending the email, rather than me having to send the email and only
discovering that the user has input an...

what is the simplest way to put the email address on the homepage so that it
is not readable by email extractor or search engine? I remember someone
wrote a simple script to do that, but I can't find it now. Anyone know
about this? Thanks.

I have an email macro setup (maybe I should go another way, but that
was the quickest at the moment...) and what I would like to do is
automate the "to" addressee of the email it generates for sending.
What I have is an email button that creates a report based on a
property address on a form (driven by a query which has criteria such
as forms!frmPROPERTY!address). That open form also has an email
address on it for the owner, and I would...

Hi,
I would like to validate an email address from .net. Now before you scream
regular expression I would like something a bit better than this.
I would like to validate the domain, and maybe lookup to see if the domain
has a valid MX record.
can anybody tell me if this is possible using .net and if so point me in the
right direction.

Simple question: Does Framework (1.1) contain any routine to check entered
email-address is valid ?
It's quite easy to make own code for that purpose, but why to do if
Framework (1.1) contain this kind of routine.

Thanks in advance!

I wrote a method that should check if an email address is valid. In
another method I've already checked to see if $_POST exists
and is well-formed, so those checks are not necessary in this scope.
However, "Step 4" bothers me, and I wonder if others are as bothered as
I am.

Hi Everbody
Access 2000, Windows XP, Outlook 2000,
When I open my database it is set to attach to my Outlook 2000 Inbox.
So far so good..... The attaching procedure works OK and I am able to
see my Outlook 2000 Inbox........Which I can view as a table, within my
Access 2000 database.

Hi
I need to generate a CSV of names and address from a table and I would like only one result (it doesn't matter which) per distinct email address. If possible, they also need to be ordered by DateAdded descending so I can select just the most recent 1000 results.
My table contains a number of fields such as FirstName, LastName, Address1, Address2, Postcode, Email etc. A plain distinct doesn't work as they may have entered a slightly...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
