No object's copies

Hi,

I don't want that class which works with files was allowed to pass by value
or use in initialization. Is it enough to have protected/private dummy copy
contstructor and assignement operator? Why or why not? Is there any other
way to solve this problem?

thanks in advance,
ralfer.
