c++ technical probelsm (a beginner)

Hi all,

hope you have recognised me. i will be very brief. I tried "C++ Primer"
3/e but found it completely incomprehensible. I am not saying book is
bad what i am saying is that i did not dissolve into brain. i tried
"Thinking in C++" but put off by the Bruce Eckel's extreme use of C
otherwise book is excellent except his assumption that C++ is C with
classes. i do not want to learn C, i know *why* i want ot learn C++.

i also looked at "C++ in action", unfortunately author teaches
interaction of C++ with buggy Windows only, hence rejected, i am
following the following online tutorial:

http://cplus.about.com/od/beginnerct...blcplustut.htm

i know a book teaches you a special approcach to C++ & this tutorial
will teach me only syntax of C++ but i think i am understanding this
tutorial more than these 2 books. i am not sure as i have just started.
Is ther any harm in learning this way?

If it works then it works, and I have seen much worse tutorials.
For a book, I suggest _Accelerated C++_ by Koenig & Moo.

For a begginer level y can recommend you "The C++ Language Tutorial".
It's available here:
