I'm getting different results when I display a value in
the Output window as opposed to the Immediate window.
Why?
Code to recreate problem:
'Purpose: Get different results from Output
window than Immediate
' window.

i slipped and dragged the output window away and lost it.
i've tried the usual menu "View --> Other Windows -->
Output" and of course the "Ctrl-Alt-O" shortcut to get it
back but it won;t return
every other window can and does - except the one window i
need to have open for compiling
has nay1 experienced similar?

Hi everybody!
I'm creating a very simple VB .NET application that needs to launch the
command line ml.exe compiler.
At the moment I'm redirecting ML's output to a text file and then my app
reads its content and puts it to a textbox for the results.
Is it possible to redirect ML's output as VS does, I mean the output given
line by line as if it was in a console window? A practical example is given

I've got a simple program in which I just write something to the console
output window, but when I compile and run the program, the output windows
displays the output and closes right away. How do I configure it to have
the console window stay open so I can view the output without it closing.
Thanks
Jason

Hello,
I have a client application written in VB (call it Client). It uses a
COM DLL written in VC++ (call it Server). The Client's projects are
all contained in one solution and the Server is contained in another.
Both run the same executable when debugging. However, when I debug
from the Client solution, trace messages in the Server show up in the
Output window, but when debugging from the Server solution, they don't

Hi everyone,
it happened to my VS2002 that I can't see Output window. I selected
view-other windows-output, but nothing happened.
It is really nightmare to find errors after build process. No one error
message appears.
How to have output window back on VS main window?

The output window gets filled with stuff while I am debugging my app. Is
there a way to programmatically clear the output window? I have read that
there is currently no explicit method to do this in VS.Net.
I vaguely recall reading something about adding a bunch of spaces at the top
of the window to push everything down and then place the cursor at the top
left corner of the output window. How to do this? Or is there a method
now? ...

I am using the following command to output my results to the Output window
(for testing things out).
Console.WriteLine ("Output")
I'd like to clear the Output window of any previous output. I tried
Console.Clear
but, this results in an error.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
