I have a database that is being used as sort of a reports data warehouse. I use DTS packages to upload data from all the different sources. Right now I have it truncating the tables and appending with fresh data. I was considering using updates instead and my question was which is more efficent?

I have an A97 db on Win2k machine. I have a make table query to update a small db wich we then FTP to our website for customer order status. What is the best way to automate the query to run once per hour? (I made a macro to run the query, but it seems that Windows Scheduler will only run once per day.) It would be really neat if I could have Access97 actually FTP the new db every hour. Thanks,

On the server and the transmission line there should never be...

I have a database that I am using as a Time clock where employees can clock in and out. Is there a way to make it so that when they clock out a form would open displaying their work day hour by hour with combo boxes next to each hour that they could select what task they did for the coorisponding hour. For example: lets say the clock in field says "7/5/2006 11:00:00 AM" and the clock out field is "7/5/2006 8:00:00 PM." Once they clock out...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
