I posted this issue a while back (over a year ago?) but thought I would
take another crack at it.
I have one user out of about 250 where my app's custom menu bar does not
work on any of the drop-down menu items. I have four drop-down menus in
the menu bar along with a half dozen or so other top level buttons. The
top-level items all work perfectly, but all of the drop-downs display a
single option labeled "Other".

Hello,
from inside a button handler, I am launching a dialog box that contains
lables and text boxes.
The dialog box is launched using dlg.Show(). In this situation the contents
of the text boxes are
visible but not the contents of the label. They become visible only after
the button handler returns.
If the dialog box is launched as dlg.ShowDialog() than everything is visible

Is there a way to customize the open file common dialog? I am trying to
modify the button text so I can create a delete file common dialog. I need
the same functionality of the open file common dialog but just need to
change the button text from "open" to "delete". Any ideas?

I need to extract the menu and dialog box resources in an exe. But I am
unable to find any good info, how menus are stored as resources.
According to msdn the menu resource have a header followed by
menuitems. these could be normalmenuitems or popupmenuitems. because I
am reading raw data bytes I have no way of differentiating a popup or
normal menu Item. Also I need some good documentation on dialogbox
resources too. pls dont' suggest to...

I am having problems locating the "Find and Replace Dialog Boxes".
My toolbox shows other Dialog Boxes. The Customize Toolbox dialog box
displays
a list of all .NET Framework components available on my machine and the
Find and Replace Dialog Boxes do not appear. The documentation that came
with my software "Microsoft Foundation Class Library Version 7.0" also lists
CFindReplaceDialoge as part of the software package. I am using VB.net...

(1) writer takes screenshot on Windows XP box (96dpi)

I have created many shortcut/popup (aka context, or right-click) menus for my
application - instead of toolbars or standard drop-down menus.
Within my custom menu, I am using =ShowMainMenu("item") in the On Action
event where ShowMainMenu is a public function in frmMain, and "item" is a
string mapping to a button click event.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
