I have an AVI file, of which I was hoping to extract a single frame (chosen by
number) into a PictureBox in VB5 SP3. I was wondering if there was a simple
method of doing this, even an API (which would be better)? It would not be saved
to disk, just read into the PictureBox.

Ok, probably a n00b question but here goes: Is anyone able to supply some
sample source code or just some documentation regarding capturing frames
from a webcam into an array? I'm doing this on Windows using VS.net but if
possible, would like crossplatform compatibility with Linux.
Crosscompatibility isn't necessary however and something that uses windows
API's would be fine...

using frames, so I can test the <noframes> </noframes> tags.
I use a linux mandrake 10 system, with KDE 3.2.
Is there a browser for linux that doesn't use frames? Or is it possible to
configure either firefox or konqueror to not use frames?

I'd like to write a Palm application to stream 2fps "video" on a Palm
PDA-Phone. Similar to MobiTV (http://www.mobitv.com).
My first, brute force approach would be to have a widget on a server
which could somehow intercept a stream and chop out frames every half
second, then provide it as a refresh jpg to a browser.
Is there any way to get ASP.NET to handle a stream in this way? Where
should I start to look?

I currently have a site which has the index page immediately open
two frames. I put a music object in the top frame. That way the
music is not cut off when the user navigates to another page and
I certainly don't want to put the music on each page.
But, the page is not treated well by google as it has no
descriptive text to index so I would like to change it to a first

I'm writing a video recorder that records input from an external device
I use multipule files capture, and every X minutes i stop the graph, set the output file name to another file and run the graph again.
All in all, seems to be working well, i get multipule video files for my capture.
HOWEVER - for each file, there seem to be extra frames !

I'm looking for a way to read in a video file ( such as an mpeg file ) using C++ ... basically the idea is to "read in the video" frame by frame, so I can do some manipulation on each frame, search through each frame, ... whatever operations I may need.
