5 New Member
Hi

I m reading a file that ends with a blank line and when i do the output it repeats the line before the blank 2 times.

I am using

ifstream infile;

infile.open ("FICHEIROS_DE_ ENTRADA.TXT", ifstream::in);

while (infile.peek() != '0' && !infile.eof()){

infile>>i;

To read the input...

Hi all, This is my very first post here, I've seriously tried some programming on C, and shown below is my very first program(So you can expect it to be very messy) that I wrote after I've learned the basics. However, the output function I wrote seems to repeat unneedingly for 2 times. My trial on solving it myself have failed. Anyone willing to point out where the problem lies will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. **** Source code ****

This is definitely not the smart thing to do as far as my learning goes, but desperate situations call for desperate measures. The final lab for my introduction to C programming class is due tomorrow. I was on vacation when we went over how to read files, so basically my only resources are the book, the course notes, and the examples. Unfortunately for me, none of them are usefull at all, so pretty much i don't have a clue as to what i...

Hi, I am running php v 5.0.0 on a redhat box. I have a php script in a file called p_script_1. I have another small script in file p_script_2. p_script_1 calles p_script_2 through a system() call. THe last line of the output from p_script_2 is duplicated. As a test I ran php -E 'echo system ("ls ");' <you have to hit ^D after you hit newline>. Anyway, this simple "ls"

Hi, Lacking javascript knowledge, I just realized why my project has a bug. I am using ASP to loop through a set of records while it creates URLs with a querystring that has a single value pair. This URL needs to open in a floating window if clicked. (this is for an administrator and so opening a small floater gives them more efficient access to the data that will be displayed). I now understand that because the ASP executes first, that...

Hello. The last weeks I've been coding a roguelike (you know, like nethack) in python using the nCurses library. Some week ago I ran into a problem: When I made the object for messagebar-output, I found a bug that I can't figure out (believe me; I've tried everything and asked for help several times on the IRC-channel). The updateMsg() and iMsg() takes a list of message-lines as argument (or process a string to a list), and it'll output...

Problem: The old tool which was written in VB6 works perfect. But I needed to convert this to C#...

I have added: <br><xsl:value-of select="Line" /></br> to my XSLT stylesheet to get a line per repeating block. When I view the output as XML it looks perfect - one line per block. However when I output the file to a text file, all the data is wrapping and at the end of each block I am getting the text part of the header included but not all of it. The text that appears is: <br xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt"...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
