Hi
I'm wanting to create a cd-rom which boots automatically when it's inserted
into the computer. What I hope to achieve is for a VB6 program to run
automatically when the cd boots up. Can this be done? if yes, then how?
Also, how do I link a command button click to the opening of files within
the cd, i.e. word, excel and access files?
Thanks

Hi,
On my previous Windows 98 machine, I wrote a simple C program that takes
two text files as input, performs some calculations, then produces a
text file that contains the results. It worked fine on that machine.
Recently, however, I obtained a new Windows XP machine, and the program
is not working correctly on my new computer computer. On the new XP
machine, I'm running the program in the DOS window, as before, and the
program does...

Hello. I am wondering if there exists a piece of software that takes
multiple .js files that are nicely indented and commented and create
one big tightly packed .js file. I'm hoping the one file would be less
of a burden for the user's browser to download. I guess the final code
output by this hypothetical program could maybe even just be on one
long line unless that would create problems. Maybe there is some kind
of optimal line...

I run this program and to exit click the X in the upper right corner.
But apparently it isn't really ending the program. If I return to VB
and make changes then try to rebuild the app it says the exe is still in
use--I find it is still a process in Task Manager. What do I need to do
to make clicking that X actually end the program?

Hi
I have found that many of my potential users of my application are not
able to write to their program files directory on C:\program files,
however they have access to 'My documents'.
i have mapped some code to 'c:\documents and
settings\%username%\documents' but I dont know how to map the default
deployment application folder to that directory. The current default
is \ which maps to 'c:\program files\hilda

I am trying to write a program that creates and renames log file on the
system. I have created the initial design ( which of course is not
compilable). Just asking whether this is the right way to do it in C:
/* The Logging Program

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
