Hi,
I'm using Xerces to produces XML output. No matter what I do, the first
line is always the Xerces comment: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"
standalone="no" ?>
I need to get rid of it, since the app I'm passing the XML to doesn't
ignore it.
I'm building the doc using DOMDocument and I'm writing the doc using

Hi, all:
What will happen if header files with the exact same names but with
different contents and declared/defined without include guard reside in
the include path for the compiler?
Are these header files are included more than once? If so, is it the
lastest included file always overwrite the previous one? Is this
behavior predictable?
thanks.

I am working with C# on Visual Studio 2003 SP1 on an XP professional SP2
system. All
of the *.htm files generated by "Build Comment Web Pages" are flagged as
restricted sites when I try to view them on IE 6.0. This problem occurred
after installing the recent service packs. The only work around I have
found is either to reduce the protection enforced on a restricted site or to
manually replace the header line in every generated htm...

Something odd is happening. Scripts on several sites that collect form
data, save it to a DB, then redirect the user to another page are
slowing to a crawl during the redirect using the header() function. For
example: header("Location:member.php").
I tried changing the header() command in a few ways:
header("Location:/member.php"), header("Location:./member.php"),
header("Location:http://www.site.com/member.php"). But none of these
made...

Hi everyone. I'm new to C and I have a few questions:
I am making files for permutations and combinations. Files to be made
are perm.c, perm.h, combo.c, and combo.h.
Since both combinations and permutations use factorial to solve their
problems, factorial is supposed to be in both perm.c and combo.c, and
declared private.
(1) You wouldn't ever put a prototype in a header if that function was

Hi,
I am using Access 2003.
I have set up an invoice in a report. I have set up the name and
address as text boxes in the Page Header which I've made as small as
possible then set the Can Grow property to Yes. This works fine.
Below that, there is the column headers for the sales lines which
appear in the Detail section.

I have the following code at the end of a page that lists some query
results. It starts in a form that asks the user for input, one of two
template pages. One template is a form for user input if there is
input otherwise it changes the template and lists the results on the
other template page. That is why there is a $template variable.

$template = "template_carlist.html";
if ($_POST!='Open in Excel'){

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
