I'ls strongly recommend not using that book. Try Eckel's Thinking in C++
instead at www.mindview.net or get Accelerated C++ by Koenig and Moo
http://www.acceleratedcpp.com/ .

I have compiled an ebook using html, javascript and swf.files which has over 100 pages, however; I do not know how to create a bookmark where a reader can re-open the ebook on the last page that they viewed. It would also be nice for the reader to be able to create a list of maybe up to ten individually bookmarked pages which they could then choose from a drop down menu. My ebook is displayed inside a frameset which makes it look like a...

I would like to get feedback on any industry eBook standards vs using plain HTML (along with some server-side scripting). I believe HTML is suited to display books, but I might be missing something. As webmaster of Authorama.com I'd also be interested in knowing if there's anything that can be directly gained by converting to some eBook format (I'm not selling anything, as the books are public domain -- I'm talking about gaining additional...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
