heap monitoring tool

I'm searching for a heap monitoring tool, 'cause I have a heap crash
in my software (c++). It occurs only after some days running my
program. The crash happens by allocating string-buffers deep in the
mfc.

Any ideas where i can find such tool?

There are several commercial ones and I know one free. Which one to
get depends on your OS and the amount of money you're prepared to
spend. The best way to find out which is the best value is to ask
in a newsgroup for your OS, since those things are very OS-specific.

If you are using MFC you can use the microsoft heap checking
functions, such as afxCheckMemory( ). Stick this in strategic
places where suspect heap corruption is happening. (typically you'd
put this into an ASSERT() macro to crash your program when a heap
error happens). I've used this
a number of times, it works a bit faster than purify on the straightforward
memory corruption problems such as overwriting, double deallocation,et c.
Alternatively, splash out for purify.

Need help with HEAP CORRUPTION and my MSVC 6 DLL I have a MSVC 6 DLL that I've written. It is used heavily by a Delphi 6 app I've written. For two months everything has been working fine. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
